EGOS 2015 pre-colloquium: Investigating the Constitutive Role of Communication for Organization and Organizing

As part of the activities held by the new EGOS Standing Working Group (SWG 16) on “Organization as Communication”, Michael Etter (CBS), Nicolas Bencherki (U at Albany) and Consuelo Vasquez (UQAM) are organizing a Pre-Colloquium Development Workshop (PDW) that will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 .

The PDW is an excellent opportunity for junior scholars to discuss research projects with senior scholars and receive great feedback for the development of papers.

We have gathered a very impressive (and generous) group of scholars that will be facilitating the group discussion:
Joep Cornelissen, VU Amsterdam,The Netherlands
Linda Putnam, University of California Santa Barbara, USA
François Cooren, Université de Montréal, Canada
Daniel Robichaud, Université de Montréal, Canada
Lars Thøger Christensen, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark
Dan Kärreman, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark
Cliff Oswick, Cass Business School, UK
Dennis Schoeneborn, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark

The submission period (via the EGOS website: http://goo.gl/8CwF0j): February 15 to March 31, 2015

Please submit a single document of application that includes:

  • On the first page: a short letter of application containing full details of name, address (postal address, phone and email), affiliation (date of PhD completion for early career scholars), and a statement of why you consider it valuable to attend the workshop.
  • A draft/working paper (between 8,000 and 1,000 words, incl. text, references, figures & tables).
